AD Offshore Taking Part In The Guernsey Dairy Milk Run 2019

Steve, Sarah and Andy are dusting off their trainers, donning short shorts and are training hard for the Guernsey Dairy Milk Run, taking place on June 16th. The tremendous trio are raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, a cause close to all of our hearts here at AD Offshore.

Andy Partlow“This is a very personal mission for me, knowing someone who lost their beloved son at a tender age to this horrible disease.

The Brain Tumour Charity is a UK based Charity, but with a global reach. I know we can sometimes view off-island charities as ‘money leaving the island’, but all research findings support people all over the world, as we know brain tumours do not discriminate; striking people at any age, of any gender and living in any postcode and we need to group together if we are ever going to have a chance of curing life-threatening diseases such as this. This most definitely includes the residents of the Channel Islands, with research findings equally benefitting them as well as mainland UK.

As a charity, they have supported over 25,000 individuals via their information and support services. These include their Information and Support Helpline and Benefits Clinic. They have reduced the average childhood diagnosis from 14.4 weeks to 6.5 weeks through their HeadSmart campaign.
Looking more to the future they have now committed £41 million to pioneering research into all areas of brain tumours to help find a cure faster.

What this charity has already achieved is unbelievable and with your help they really can take further steps to finding a cure and helping victims and their families.

Thank you for your support!” Andy Partlow, Director of Offshore
