This is an amazing opportunity for Head of Risk to join a leading financial services company and carry out day to day administration of a portfolio of structures holding a diverse range of assets.

 

The role as Head of risk is to support the Guernsey CRO in defining and developing the Branch risk framework that is fit for purpose. The Head of Risk will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency, monitoring and reporting on the performance of the framework to the CRO to control the risks that the Branch is exposed to.

The role is to work with the CRO and Branch management to ensure delivery of the business strategy within the Branch and ensuring the entity maintains a sufficiently robust control and risk management environment

Participating actively in, and chairing, some of the key corporate governance committees of CSAG, Guernsey Branch will give you a chance to craft a network with positive working relationships.

 

Qualifications
  • They will assist the CRO to develop, maintain, and ensure the effectiveness of the risk control framework for all relevant operational and outsourced activities.
  • They will need to be comfortable managing a broad range of risks on the company’s behalf. These risks include treasury and liquidity risk, but also market risk, credit risk, operational risk, reputational risk and other areas.
  • They will need to understand and follow closely legal and compliance risk.
  • They will be responsible for maintaining the Branch risk appetite statement, and for monitoring risk profile against the agreed appetite levels.
  • They will assist the CRO to prepare for Branch governance committee meetings and act as their deputy when required
  • They will be the local point of contact for the CRO and Branch management in all risk matters.
