30 Jul Get to know Ellie…
We had a chat with Ellie to find out what makes her tick.
Q: What is your favourite way to start the day?
A cup of coffee in bed. I’ve also recently started having cold showers in the morning, they really wake me up and it puts me in the best mood – I recommend!
Q: When we can travel again, where would your next holiday destination be?
I’d love to go back to Australia or visit my friends in Thailand!
Q: What is your favourite beverage on a hot summer’s day?
An ice-cold Aperol or Hugo Spritz.
Q: Who do you admire and why?
My brother – he is the strongest, most kind-hearted person I know and always so optimistic…don’t tell him I said that!
Q: What is your proudest achievement?
Raising £3,000 for Cancer Research.
Q: What is your favourite way to unwind?
Going out for drinks or having a pamper night in with friends.
Q: Have you ever had a nickname, if so, what is it and why?
Elliekins – that’s what my family have called me since I was little.
Q: What is the best gift you have ever received?
For my 14th birthday my Dad got me a baby grand piano! That is by far the most amazing gift I’ve ever received.
Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy a house in Guernsey with fantastic views and treat my friends and family to lots of holidays.
Q: How did you stay motivated during lockdown?
I found structuring my day really helped. I’d make a list of the things I wanted to achieve that day and tick them off as I completed them. Regular catch ups with the team also kept me motivated.
Q: What is your claim to fame?
I don’t think I’ve ever met a celebrity, but I did give the Queen some flowers in primary school!
Q: If you could move anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Byron Bay – when I went travelling in Australia last year, we were only meant to be passing through Bryon for a day or so but we ended up staying for over a month!
Q: What hobby would you get into if time and money were not an issue?
Sky diving for sure – I did a 15,000ft dive over Airlie Beach in Australia, it was the most amazing feeling and I would absolutely love to do it again!
Q: What is your favourite thing about working at Alexander Daniels?
The team and the culture! There’s always a great atmosphere in the office at AD.
Q: What would you like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
I’d like to complete a professional qualification in digital marketing and hopefully see a bit more of the world!
