This past year has been absolutely amazing to say the least! We’ve opened our new office in Smith Street, Guernsey, welcomed some lovely new staff members, gone on some once in a lifetime trips with the extended Alexander Daniels family – and not to mention the hundreds of candidates and clients that we have helped along the way! Keep reading for the story so far…
ADOffshore is born…
Andy Partlow had been recruiting for Guernsey, Jersey and London for a number of years from his desk in Birmingham, until he made the case to the Alexander Daniels Board members that they NEEDED an office in Guernsey. When they agreed, Andy knew just the people to head up the local office… enter Steve Hubert and Sarah Elliott! Having met them both on a professional level a few years earlier, they soon became good friends and kept in touch. So, Andy contacted them both and after a meeting with the MD of AD, Ian Mourbey, they were hired! They came in as Recruitment Consultants with Finance and Learning & Development backgrounds.
18-20 Smith Street, Guernsey…
With the staff sorted, the next thing they needed was an office. After many trips over to Guernsey, Andy and Ian viewed a few offices – but settled on the central location of Smith Street. When the furniture arrived, the guys were quick to get settled in – a couple of desks, a phone and two laptops later – and they were up and running!
Sales Support…
After a couple of months finding candidates and meeting clients, it became apparent that they needed a Sales Support Administrator to look after the day-to-day administration and social media of the business. No sooner had this been decided than Sarah jumped into action getting the CV of her old work colleague, Lauren Martel.
Another Consultant joins the team…
We just keep on growing! January 2017 brought on the arrival of Andréa Pearson. Andréa is an old friend of Sarah and Steve and has a background in Compliance. She used this to really push that side of recruitment, getting her first placement in just a month.
ADOffshore Launch Event…
19th January 2017 was our first big ADOffshore event held at The Venue. With over 40 people from all business sectors – including the founders of Alexander Daniels and the Directors coming over from Birmingham, it was a night to be remembered. We had so much support on the night – thank you to everyone who attended and helped to make the night such a success!
More social events…
In just a year we have had so many reasons to celebrate. We’ve had Christmas parties, birthdays, trips over to Herm, meals round each other’s houses and new starters. We’ve even flown over to Birmingham to spend time with the extended AD family.
Fly Away…
In just 12 months we have hit target after target as a business – and ADOffshore have been lucky enough to join the Alexander Daniels team on an amazing skiing trip to Chamonix, cycling in Ashbourne and helping to raise over £4K for The Brain Tumour Charity (in just 2 hours!). We still have another couple of trips planned for the upcoming months – so watch this space…
The team is still growing…
With no new additions for a couple of months, it was about time we brought in someone new, so we were thrilled to welcome Christina Guille. Christina joined us in August 2017 with over 8 years’ experience in recruitment – and she has hit the ground running.
And then there were 7…
We couldn’t go another month without ANOTHER new member of ADOffshore, so we welcomed Hannah Le Tissier to the ever -growing team in September 2017! Young and bright Hannah, will be looking after the busy temporary and contract side of recruitment.
We can’t believe just how much we have been able to achieve over this past year – and we couldn’t have done it without the help and support of our candidates and clients – so to you – we can only say a big THANK YOU!!
