Alexander Daniels Offshore is currently working with a business in Guernsey to recruit a Company Secretary on a temporary basis.


  • Providing a high level of professional service to a varied portfolio of client relationships and attending generally to corporate structures
  • Preparation for and attending board meetings
  • Drafting board meeting agenda, minutes and written resolutions
  • Assisting the company boards in ensuring good governance
  • Ensuring appropriate Stock Exchange announcements and disclosures are made
  • Day-to-day administrative duties eg opening client bank accounts, preparing payments, client take on etc.
  • Communicating with clients and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Managing and recording time accurately and efficiently
  • Adhering to operating procedures and internal policies
  • Assisting/mentoring team members where required
  • The ability to resolve queries/find solutions
  • To work with the Senior Manager to address and resolve any issues and exceptions

Skills & Experience:

  • Expected to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a general corporate administration, funds or private equity environment
  • Experience of dealing with companies listed on the London Stock Exchange or other exchanges would be beneficial
  • Having a good understanding of corporate regulatory requirements
  • Being timely, accurate and concise in all communications
  • It would be an advantage for the candidate to be ICSA qualified, or equivalent, but this is not essential
  • A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and a good grasp of English, both oral and written, is vital
